Greetings GKC 2020 Event Volunteers! 

No doubt it has been a crazy year for all with the COVIS-19 Pandemic affecting just about every aspect of our lives. Well, it's certainly required GKC 2020 to make some changes to this year's event. So here we go:

1: This year's event will be a drive-up only.  The bookbags will be pre-packaged and handed out to the students as they drive-up at their scheduled time.  For 2020, we're not able to provide all the additional services as in past years.

2. The Cartersville event will be held at the Cartersville High School "Storm Center" and NOT the Bartow College and Career Center. Scheduling conflicts required a change. 

3. Due to limited funding this year we will not be able to provide T-Shirts to this year's event.  If you have one from a previous year, please wear it. Dress cool, it's an outside event on Saturday.  

4. Cartersville - We need volunteers for 3 days and 4 different shifts. Young adults 11 and up are welcome to volunteer this year, be sure to register them too! For safety reasons, children under 11 should not be brought to any of the shifts. 


  • Thursday 9:30 am - 1:30 pm. 30 volunteers needed.  The supplies will be delivered to the Storm Center and we will be sorting them to be distributed to the 5 other locations.  
  • Friday 9:30 am - 1:30 pm.  30 volunteers needed.  We will be packing the bookbags with supplies that will be distributed on Saturdays Cartersville event.  
  • Saturday 8 am - 12 pm. Showtime! Morning crew.   30 Volunteers needed
  • Saturday 11 am - 3 pm. Showtime continues! Afternoon crew. 30 Volunteers needed.
